Not only will we take a deep dive into the toxic culture that praises disciplined eating and exercise, both rewarding and reinforcing thin ideals, but also unpack how and why yoga is being used as an adjunctive treatment for eating disorders. We will also explore how yoga is presented in intervention work and how it differs from what we see in modern & corporate yoga studios. We will conclude with a list of tangible tools to mitigate harm and stop the perpetuation of toxic diet and exercise culture.
